Newbie and Cannot Find the Group I Signed Up to Find

I am searching for specific online training, and was told about a group on Discord that has a community of people in the field I am looking to train in.

However, after signing up at Discord and creating my server, I have not been able to search for the group I was told to  look for. There are two areas at the Discord site where I have found a search feature, but the first gives me a not found message, and the second does not perform a search for anything. My query just sits in the box with six arrows pointing at the box, and nothing happens.
