Nicknaming Friends, NOT server nicknames

I do not see any reason why there is not a client-side implemented feature to set your own personal nicknames for the people on your friends list. If I want to know who bigjack#1341 is after he's changed his name 1,000 times from rainbowbrony#0069, I should be able to set a permanent personal nickname purely dedicated to this person's account that I can search for on my list of friends. The notes are helpful but entirely unintuitive for finding a specific friend, especially when you have 80 friends on your list. If there is a reason this has not been implemented, please let me know why. Thanks!

    I agree I sent this suggestion as well. It will help make it more organized

    100% agree! I really hope they add a feature like this. If they allow people to change their names then they should allow us the opportunity to figure out who they are. Even if it just put an aka like it does for friends with mutual servers.

    Steam has this already but it sure would be nice if discord did too.  One friend changes their name and they are G-O-N-E until I figure out the change. :(

    *note* Searched here and google and people have been asking for this for at LEAST four years. :(
