Not enough perks for worth of Nitro
For a very long time, I was not convinced of the value of Discord Nitro. I can see that the only real purpose to pay $10/mo for Nitro is if you are apart of multiple major gaming servers, which I am not, but even so, I am apart of enough servers (or at least one that I greatly care about) that I decided to give it a whirl. My main attraction to Nitro was the increased file sharing size, as well as the customized emojis. Oh boy, was I wrong.
1) Nitro should allow the PERSON WHO IS PAYING to add their own emojis for their personal use, to use across any server, at any time, in any DM. I don't care to add emojis to servers for everyone to use. I'd like to have my own, thank you.
2) FIFTEEN BOOSTS for Level 2 (for increased file sharing size) for servers is outrageous. I can't imagine anyone who would be willing to pay that on their own, at least not unless, again, you're "Twitch Supreme Overlord" with dozens, if not hundreds of people in your server. Seriously? Way to cater to the little guys, Discord. (Not.) Please lower the amount of required boosts per level, or, come up with more levels in need of less boosts but slightly better perks for each.
3) If someone decides to boost a server, the owner of the server should be automatically alerted with the option of promoting them to have the permission to add emojis. (Along with all of the other perks this member just gave them.)
4) When adding animated emojis to a server through the use of Nitro, EVERYONE should be able to use them. Currently, any animated emojis to non-Nitro members in a server show up as black & white versions with no animations, and cannot be used by them.
5) A server boost should be permanent.
Please explain why I'm paying $10/mo for this....

It's only $10/mo tho. If you can't gather up at least $10 each month, get off discord, get a job. Also, I'm pretty sure you can just, make a server then add emojis to it. Am I wrong? Even if, people have made servers JUST FOR NITRO SUBSCRIBERS. They're all across disboard. I can agree with reasons 2,4, and 5. Also, some people may not be old enough to pay for it by themselves. That's understandable. If you're struggling to get a parent or someone to buy something for you, I think you have worse struggles bud.

Just read this. You're of no help. I'm almost 30 years old and have no issue with payment. You fail to remember that, thanks to most subscriber-paid services we are now flooded with in our day and age, another $10 for another (mostly useless) service is ... well, pointless. To convince those who are not big-wig streamers/twitchers, etc, who are bombarded with other monthly subs for almost every other service, I am just simply saying Discord should make their most basic Nitro sub more appealing and valuable. At this rate, there is very little value in the money paid, even if it's $10/mo. As a millennial who pays $10-$15/mo for at least a half dozen other monthly services, I look for quality. Discord Nitro has little value, and is just another monthly burden in comparison to all of the others we, as modern day consumers, are expected to afford just to get by.

I find this a little whingy.. i mean you have a valid point in questioning this but for the wrong reasons. i feel that for free they should add support for upto 15second 720p vids and screenshots.. for classic nitro sub 1080p vids and up to 2k screens but for the full shebang on nitro sub given that 2k and 4k gaming is now the new norm that they should up their file size limit by atleast another 200mb. making 300mb. i understand that server space etc but they have rinsed people for a long time and should have enough to increase this limit. imj all for discord and i do love it but there are now completely free chat and social services that have better upload limits without paying for their subs. discord really need to think about their stance with regards to this as they became big quick and it seems they are dying just as fast.
