I think you should be able to customize your discord backgrounds like upload pictures to best suit you. I know there are things that you can download which is a grey area but I think Discord should add it in settings instead of a default black screen or white.

    It would be amazing if the discord devs took a note from the Terraria devs and chose a mod browser to become official and useable. That way people would be able to do stuff without fear of getting a ban for wanting to have a picture of their friends in the background, especially since some people don't even look at their pc background, and look at their discord more often than most other applications running on their pc.
