A VR overlay
So, there are a few different versions of this, but I think that my version would be the best here: Watch mode. So, if you look into the experimental tab in the oculus settings in-headset, they have a watch mode, where you can see the time can view notifications, change how loud your input and output are, etc.
I think a similar option would be GREAT for discord, as I use VR very often, and would like a way to see what my friends are saying or be able to mute myself and such without bringing the game I’m playing to a screeching and disorienting halt.
A watch or wristband shaped thing around your virtual wrist (the controller being the point of reference), with on the underside, show who you’re in the call with, under it, a mute and deafen button, and on the top of the watch, see who’s messaging you, what they’re saying (maybe have like a box that extends from the wrist towards the elbow so it’s actually read-able), and maybe a keyboard to respond, or some kind of voice to text thing, but you can use your discretion on that last one.

I would be happy if this came, and it's just pretty much discord mobile, but as an overlay in VR that you can hold in an assigned hand and then navigate with the controller trigger. Maybe a speech interpretation would be nice to use over an on-screen keyboard (which would still be a nice alternative to have anyway).
