revert to separate collapse settings between app and browser again

Apparently recently (I noticed it today (April 10th) for the first time) there was a change that makes it so if you have a category set to collapsed, it automatically also collapses that category anywhere else where you're logged in (and vice versa with not collapsed).

This makes it impossible to keep a nice overview of where a new message is being sent on an extra monitor where I am logged in in the browser since it forces me to also keep all categories collapsed in the app. That way I can not jump between channels freely anymore.

I realize that probably not many people will have this problem, but it is a HUGE quality of life loss, so I'd love if it's reverted!
