Hard to find readable colors in both modes

I am a mod on a relatively large server, with users in both light mode and dark mode. We find it difficult to find colors for roles that are readable in both modes. One solution was to set role colors according to the mode users are in. Or possibly a background behind the username that makes colors uniformly readable. In any case, our little corner of discord would appreciate a solution to this that doesn't involve guesswork.

    Exactly an issue I'm facing in a server I'm in. I hope they'll add something like slightly changing the shade and stuff. Something similar to what Twitch does.

    It's a problem I have on servers I mod too.  There aren't a lot of light users, but enough that trying to find that middle ground color is a pain.

    yup, I am colorblind in an odd range, and I have been having a challenge as well. Thanks!
