Activate Overlay Chat keybind stopped working

My keybind to activate the overlay chat "]" has stopped working, when I press it nothing happens. rebinding it to a different key does not work. I am running Discord as an administrator, even completely uninstalled and reinstalled Discord and nothing has worked to fix it. the toggle overlay lock keybind works fine, but the activate overlay chat keybind doesn't. What is causing this and how can I fix it?

    I have absolutely the same issue. None of the possible solutions to the problem helped. Installing, reinstalling, updating drivers, using the ptb version, nothing.
    I sent ticket to support two days ago, received a reply that developers are already aware of these overlay issues.
    I think it would be best for you to send a ticket too.

    The keybind works for me, except it does nothing. My cursor gets unbound so I stop panning my camera, and I see my mouse cursor, but that's all. Very annoying.

    Same issue for about a year now.  The pinned overlay used to work perfectly, but at some point the Activate Overlay Chat keybind simply stopped working properly.  Pressing it causes the desktop mouse cursor to appear, but the overlay chat isn't activated.

    Toggling the overlay lock using its separate keybind allows interaction with the overlay, but is not as streamlined as the overlay chat keybind when it worked.  Additionally, toggling out of the overlay causes the game to stutter until toggling focus with the game using alt+tab or by tapping the Windows key to bring up the Start menu.  This only rarely happened before the Activate Overlay Chat keybind stopped working.

    The issue is present in every game I've tried, and I know others who experience it as well.

    This seems to be a widespread issue now approaching a year since first reported.  As much as I liked it when it worked, I've had to give up on the overlay as it is unusable in its current state.
