Customizable Landing Screen for Text Channels | Feature Request
Add a custom landing screen for individual text channels, similar to how the NSFW Warning screen is implemented. This could serve the purpose of displaying channel-specific rules or restrictions enforced by a server prior to allowing access to view/post in a specific channel.
An example scenario of it's use would be: The user sees the text channel #serious. When they click on it, they are presented with a splash screen that displays a custom message defined in the channel options that says "The serious channel is for serious discussions only. Please refrain from using memes in this channel." and must click "Agree" to view and post in the channel, or "Cancel" to return to the previous channel.
Functionally, this is the same as the NSFW channel warning, but serves to define specific rules for channels in a more modular and digestible manner. Channel-specific rules like this currently have no elegant solution or simple reminder. Communities rely on long-winded #welcome channels to establish rules. Channel-specific rules only clutter up these areas or the Membership Screening splash, when they could be separated to their respective channels this way. Typing out these rules and pinning them still requires visitors to check and read the pins of their own volition. The option to force an agree/cancel splash puts this information more in their face.
Possible issues with adding this is it makes the NSFW warning less unique. A solution for that is to keep these customizable splashes more visually plain, or give them a different form altogether, so that the NSFW splash continues to stand out.
Further features for this "channel rules" feature could be an option to review them again at the user's request, or if desired, a forced refresh on a specified time duration.
