Make slash commands and emoji/mention/markdown previews separate toggles
I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to use the newly introduced slash commands for bots but can't stand everything else that comes with that toggle, so give us the option to use slash commands without the rest.

Agreed, but for the opposite reason. I don't use bots, and the slash commands get in the way of regular text. I want to be able to disable slash commands without losing the other options.

For the love of god, PLEASE. I hate the automatic markdown + emoji conversions with every fiber of my being. Just let me use my slash commands.

I cant think of any actual reason for these settings to be combined in the first place. Previews & wysiwyg annoy me and I need slash for testing bot development. They should be seperated

I came to suggest this today, and when I searched to see if anyone had already suggested it, I found a handful of suggestions with only a couple votes each. I suggested on the others I found to vote for this one because it currently has the most upvotes. Also, as all of these suggestions range from a year to six months old, please consider asking people you know to upvote it as well. Discord isn't going to consider this unless we drive some attention to the issue, but quite frankly this breaks usability in a lot of ways.
I personally find it makes formatting my messages the way I *want* them formatted much harder, since the assumptions the preview makes are often counter what I need, and because of the way it enables the previews, it makes it harder for me to correct it. But I don't want to cut off my access to the slash commands either (especially since my friend who codes the bot I use on two of my servers finally was able to upgrade their bot to make use of slash commands).2 -
I disabled this option because it breaks IME behavior, but recently an important bot stopped support for non-slash commands so I'm in trouble.
It might take time to fix the issue with IME, but if only each option is separated as op says, I could ignore this problem for now...
