Recent Update breaks discord

there will be a green install update button top-right  it completely breaks discord and makes the desktop version think its a browser version causing it to crash and every time you try to open it it "deletes a shortcut" but its actually just deleting discord and causing java script errors

    Are you using an client modification?
    This error is known from external sources.

     

    There is no actual known bug in all versions for this.
