PS4 Controller will stop working when joining a voice channel

Hi, I have a weird issue that I can find nothing about online.

When I have my PS4 controller connected (either bluetooth or usb) It will work fine and I can make inputs UNTIL I join a discord voice channel. The second I join I lose all of my controller input and the second I leave the voice channel I get controller input back.

I have no Idea what could cause this issue but I can replicate it 100% of the time and I'm unable to use the controller in any way while using discord which really sucks
