Emoji problems

When I select emojis to add to the message I'm writing, sometimes it won't get highlighted in blue and discord will send it as a text message (smth like ":emoji:" instead of the actual tiny image). I think it only happens with custom emojis, and when I add the emoji to a bigger block of text, exclusively on mobile so far.
