mentions in landscape on mobile
On my tablet, which I strongly prefer to use in landscape orientation, @mentions don't work. If you type an @, no popup suggestions appear. If you type an @ with a fully typed name, a proper mention is not created. After days of trial and error, with help from friends, I stumbled upon a work-around. If you rotate the tablet to portrait mode, mentions work as expected! The instant you rotate back to landscape, they stop again. This was on the latest version v70.7 at the time of writing, on Android 11, Samsung Galaxy Tab S7.

Update: the problem is still there in v72.15. In addition, another landscape issue is if you press and hold on a message, the controls are below the back, home, app android buttons. You have to swipe up to use them, and hope you don't activate said buttons, which I do half the time. Rotate to portrait, and they pop up on the bottom third of the screen, no swiping required.
It also occurred to me that the rotation work around wasn't doable on Chromebooks. They don't have sensors for if you turn the laptop on its side. They probably do use the mobile version of the app from the Play Store. I can maybe test this for sure if someone wants. I keep forgetting to check it out.

facing the same issue in my pixel 3a. Is discord working on resolving this?

Same issue here, can't get tag options in landscape mode but available if using the mobile in portrait mode. Kindly fix this support🙏🏻
