Canary - Highlighting Name is bad

Recently, an update was pushed on Canary that changes the way usernames are highlighted when mentioning them. Before, the highlight was the same color as the user's name. Now, all users have this weird, off-white/slightly purple tint and I think it looks silly. Can we stick to the normal user highlight combo? I feel like this is making change for change's sake aka completely unnecessary.
