The new design is very ugly for those people who use Dark Discord to prevent eye pain due to light things on the monitor, please add the option to turn off the new design and return to the old type of discord mentions, because eyes hurt a lot because of bright colours on black theme.

  Agreed, they are a definitive step down, and MOST discord users use dark theme afaik
