let the users see if they're message is delivered, sent or read (put either delivered, sent, or read below the messages sent like the app called messenger) ; if delivered, it means that the user who you sent a message is active ; if sent, it means that the user who you sent a message is offline ; and if read, it means that the user who you sent a message to has read your message.

  Please no, I appreciate discord not having read reciepts. They're extremely anxiety inducing and invasive

  If it's going to be default disabled & optionally enabled then maybe but else, we even have an "invisible" status option to the opposite side.
