Custom Server Markdown
Web forums have had this feature for ages - admin-added customised text formatting.
Doesn't need to be fancy you just let server admins enter markdown tag names and then a CSS value that corresponds to that tag name. You could even limit it to specific categories of CSS using a dropdown of approved options (color, background-color, text-shadow, maybe). Then pick a standard symbol to start and end the custom markdown - dollar symbol? Pipe? Square brackets? It really doesn't matter which. Dealer's choice.
Maybe throw in some role-limitations, so some people can have access to the custom markdown and others can't so that server admins can prevent people who overuse those features (or just new server arrivals) from having access.
But at the present there are so many pages dedicated to gaming the use of the ```codeblock``` to add colour to text there's clearly a demand for it. Discord gets used for so many different things, it's almost bizarre that the markdown system doesn't provide equivalent flexibility.
