Sticker removal

So I paid for stickers a long time ago, I actually enjoy the robot one and today i received a message from Discord saying that they will remove the feature to use stickers from me in 15 days, and will make it a nitro benefit instead.

As a paying customer, it feels like I'm being cheated out of something I owned for a long time and it's now locked behind a monthly sub. Discord always had a good reputation, but in my eyes this is a money grab move that taints Discord's reputation. 

 

As per Discord support, they are giving a year of Nitro to iOs users and for Android users like myself, a simple refund and a big f-u telling you to buy a monthly sub to enjoy features you could use until now.

 

I asked support to provide my feedback to the project and upper management and they pointed me to here, as stated, I will refrain myself from referring friends to using Discord or spending any money on it.

    I am sort of in the same boat, but I'd rather stickers were gone for good.
    they were spam cancer in Skype days, MSN, and Yahoo Messenger.
    Also, a bit pathetic to not refer friends to discord over your fridge stickers

    What's pathetic is removing a paid feature and putting it behind a monthly sub when your company already does millions of $ every year. It's not about the stickers, it's not about the 4$ that I paid, it's the bad service provided by Discord that makes me not want to bring business here.

    I get it, it's a business and it's goal is to make money, but there are better ways to go and do it then remove stuff from paid customers. If you want to bow down to Discord then be my guest.
