typography used in channel names fails miserably in non-latin locales (specific example: greek)

The new font used in the logo is not... good, but I wouldn't have complained if the branding redesign hadn't seeped into the UI. I am a native greek speaker, and a member of multiple guilds-servers where greek is the main language (I even help moderate one or two from time to time), and, for our members' convenience we add the greek word for a channel's purpose in some of the names. The new font, while I'm sure it was selected for looking cleaner and aiding with brand uniformity, breaks those exact criteria when used for greek text, due to its lack of support to the majority of greek letters. Now, that wouldn't have been a problem if all greek text just degraded to a local font that supports it (see: local font stack, Arial, Liberation Sans, --apple-system, etc), but due to the use of some greek characters in mathematics (π for pi and μ for micro), they are included in many fonts, even if the rest of the greek character set is omitted, making design discrepancies both very easy to notice, and serving as an irritating reminder that companies often enough don't give a second look before shipping something that breaks localisations not in their primary developers' native language. You don't even have to test stuff in the discord client to see that. Your new homepage's greek version offers multiple examples of bad font degradation and most of the test hasn't even been translated. Inconsistency with the new branding font is also easy to notice by just having non-latin and latin script next to each other, like we do in the servers I help moderate, or, again, in your new homepage for the greek market. In the same way that only 22 out of 24 letters of the greek alphabet degrade due to lack of font support, english terms and punctuation, present throughout both the app and the homepage, not just in user-generated channels, but now in menus and elsewhere, stick out even more, and make the UI look like a ransom note. I can't even imagine what the experience must be for people with sight impairments or dyslexia.

Internationalize your type.

If multi-billion dollar companies can settle for Noto Sans, openly admitting it's because it's free and supports every language, you have no right to act superior.
