It's been a week. The update isn't any better.
Look, I usually don't write on these things. But I'm getting discouraged. It's been a week, and I tried to get used to the new color and font. And I like the new Clyde! I don't mind him at all, he's cute. But the color is still painful and the font is still difficult to read, after a week of heavy discord use. Maybe I'm being too impatient and impulsive- I can thank ADHD for that, and I can thank ADHD for making the new color so distracting and difficult as well.
I understand why you guys changed. You need to keep up and be interesting. And I get that you can't revert everything. But can't you do that without actively harming some of your users? Please just work with us and give us customizable themes or a classic/legacy theme toggle. Or if you're already working on it after the countless other requests for it, please let us know! Because it's tiring and discouraging to feel like those who are hurt by the update aren't being acknowledged at all. I love discord and it hurts that I can't use it without hurting myself.

See, that's just it, they can revert everything. The old website is up ,the old assets are up. They really can do it that fast and that quickly.
And before someone starts tearing into me, I'm in IT, I work with software designers. Changes like this have a backout plan. They always have a backout plan. They have to, because if you commit to a change and it breaks? You have to be able to get back to the stable, working version. And those are implementations where all the old assets are removed. Discord has not. They have all of the old assets still and could have reverted this change in a day or two. So either they hard-committed to this rebrand with no backout plan if the app failed, or they chose not to in the hopes the discourse would die down and people would stop complaining.
CHANGE IT BACK! It's UNUSABLE!8
