Discord Idea

USER THINGS:

First Item: Custom Themes

Right now we only have two discord themes, Light Theme, and Dark Theme. I think it might be cool if you could make your own custom theme in settings.

An idea of where it would be:

User Settings >> Appearance >> Theme >> Custom Theme Button

And there you could change the background color, the text color, the button colors, etc. I feel this might be a cool thing to add because it would add a uniqueness to your Discord page, and just be added for fun.

Second Item: Gradient Role Colors

What a gradient role color might look like is you pick a start color point, and an end color point like choosing a role color now, then the name of the user WITH that role’s name would be the gradient. I also feel this might be just a cool thing to add to your server because it just adds a little extra coolness(?) to your user list bar.

Third Item: ANIMATED Gradient Role Colors

This works the same way but it instead animates the role color in different ways. Now how would you animate it, I have 0 clue, I am leaving that up to you. Also you could make it so boosted servers at a certain level would get animated gradient colors.

Forth Item: Private Name Colors

What I mean by this is when chatting in a private DM or on a server without any roles or something, your name can be a color or rainbow. This would of course be a nitro thing only, but I feel it might be a cool touch.

DEVELOPER THINGS:
First Item: Gradient Embed Colors

I am a newish developer when it comes to Discord bots, and I think it would be cool to instead of just 1 color on an embed have some sort of gradient, Just for an extra cool touch. I code in Python so here is an idea for a function (What it would look like in use) for a gradient:

Function:

add_gradient(red, blue, animated=False)

Or

add_gradient(0xFF0000,0x0800FF, animated=False)

Do I think any of this is going to be added? No.

Do I think it would be cool if it was added? Yes.

Do I think it would spice Discord’s colors and servers up? Yes.

If you are from Discord and are reading, please consider my idea at least.
