Don't replace the stages button with recent mentions or add an option to change it.

Too many people won't care about stages. 

It's slower and more frustrating to click the quick switcher button, then the mentions tab to navigate through pings. 

I used that mentions button/page to navigate through pings faster and moving the mentions button to the quick switcher makes it a lot slower.

At least add an option to replace the stages button with the mentions button, or an option to replace the mentions page/tab to be the default option, instead of the quick switcher feature.

(Some people might not have the stages button on the nav/bottom-bar yet, since this is Android canary/alpha, or they didn't update Discord.)

    I’m on IPhone and have the same problem. The new live tab is something I never plan to use whereas I used the recent mentions tab constantly. I don’t know why they didn’t just put an icon next to the server logos if someone’s live on it or just add a 6th tab if they really wanted, although that would’ve also been annoying.

    100%. now i can’t go back and look at all my recent pings and i miss thing my friends have tagged me in. i really don’t care about stages lol

    I'm just baffled as to why they would remove legit functionality.  Sure, as a business, I understand them wanting to better promote their chosen servers - but even there, PC had an option already.  A button next to the "new server" button for special servers.

    In regards to this particular feature, it legit replaces stuff I used all the time.  I'm a bot developer and people pinged me to let me know if my bot had incorrect information.

    Exactly Rot8er.  It just makes it so much annoying for no gain. The stuff it features isn’t even remotely related to any of the servers I’m in. Just right now I can see an abortion debate and a roblox rap battle at the top of the list and I couldn’t care less about either of them.

    They do this every single time, its insane. Not to mention that they got rid of plethora of options when you tap on top left button in image select and left only the least useful buttons (for me its [recent] files and zarchiver.) I need access to gallery and music, not a zip file, and no, scrolling till i find 1 image taken several months ago isnt an option, discord :)

    I'm on iOS, have the Stages update applied, and for me, the recent pings feature isn't gone, they're just moved to the Search tab. Unsure if this applies to everyone but worth checking for those who rely on that function.

    Panda yes its under search and its just an extra step to click on a button people use and having to ignore the one nobody cares about

    The search button is not an adequate substitute for the following reasons:
    - You can only search within the server that you are currently viewing.  The mentions button showed all your mentions regardless of server.  Someone who is in a small number of actual servers (i.e. not servers that exist solely as emote storage for Nitro users) might find this to be a small compromise because Discord does show you where your mentions are in the server list so you can just click those servers and then search, but as someone who has a bunch of servers I don't use often all in a folder specifically if people ping me about my bots, this is not necessarily enough.
    - (I was going to add that when searching for mentions it only showed pings and not replies, but apparently I am wrong about this.)

    Not only do I have no idea how to even navigate my pings now, can one even still see them?
    I have no idea who these creators are, I am not in their servers, there very little information to even go on.

    This is the best messaging app, but its a crappy attempt to jump on the tiktok train so don't even try

    Yeah what the heck, who legit thought this was a good idea? Instead of just pushing a single button i gotta draw a map, this is ridiculous. How do you take a step backwards in functionality like this? I’ve blindly given money to discord for years now and it wasn’t for this stage crap. Give me back my tag button on n mobile.
