Unable to download images or videos on Android, says it lacks storage permissions

My Discord app today stopped allowing me to download videos or images off of the app because it says the app doesn't have storage permissions, even though it does. I've tried force stopping Discord then reopening it, and even tried uninstalling then reinstalling the app and nothing has worked, have not seen anyone talk about this and could use some help please

    same with me has been happening for a couple days now ive tried resetting it and clearing cache and nothing works

    Same issue. I've un and reinstalled it at least 3 times but nothing has done anything
