Permission given to admins for nicknames

I have no idea what api means so srry for that anyways. I love discord cause it’s organized and there’s a lot of things you can add to it and stuff. But giving admins the power to change our nickname is too much. It’s like i’m their dog or something. Like others can participate in that but i personally don’t want to be named something offensive. The amount of times my admin friend has named me a slur is literally horrendous. I’ve told them multiple times to just leave my name as sage but no. The power they have is way to much and affects so many people. Saying things like oh then leave the server is so😐 like i can’t just up and leave a friend group server. This came off as kinda mean sorry but any chance you can add permissions for us to enable for others to change our nickname in a server?? oh and also ofc if it’s inappropriate they can still remove it ! keep it family friendly still yk

An admins job is typically to follow discord’s ToS and Community guidelines, whereas in your case they’re nicking you something horrendous in most cases they’re nicking someone, something family friendly and enforcing their server rules.

You’re better off reporting the individuals who are harassing you and possibly many others than getting the entire feature removed from everyone.
