Updates Notifications and application Incompatibilities

When there's a new update (more often for Beta Users like myself) we don't get notified, not in the app and not in Google Play store (not sure about other app stores). I would like for a in-app notification to be implemented, maybe in profile category under a sub category of updates and when there's a new one you get a notification like when someone tags you; so we are aware that we have an update available.

This issue came up because if you don't update to latest version there will be some Incompatibilities with certain features in the app. Basic features like tagging members, channels or roles, sending gifs or emojis, uploading files or photos, reacting, using bot commands, and so on...

And this is annoying since the only way to realize you have an update available is because certain things are not working the way they should or more properly they are not working at all.

As I mentioned before I'm a Beta user and we have updates available probably each day or they are closer together and I don't see appropriate for me to have to go to Google Play Store when something is failing to see if there's an update. I think I gave an easy solution and comfortable. Maybe have an option to not get notified if someone doesn't want to. But I think this will be pretty useful.
