Inbox mention reactions

Come on guys, make it so that you can interact with reactions in the Mentions tab the same way you can with the Unreads, its stupid as hell. Why are you only able to Inbox react to a bunch of random crap that steamrolls your Unreads when you cant with Mentions, something that 9/10 will be a message legitimately meant to grab the user's attention, even if it is an @everyone ping??? I literally would like a valid explanation.  I mean you could even take the long winded route and just make Mentions prioritized at the top of your Unreads so you dont have to sift through a bunch of crap to place your quick reaction and let the person know you've seen the message.
