Membership Screening UX
Hi Discord team,
Membership screening is working as designed, but there's a part of its functionality that's detracting from user experience.
-When a new member is invited to a text channel they get a prompt where they see the rules and click a checkbox that states they read it. Then they have basic access to the server.
-When a new member is invited to a voice channel they get a prompt that forces them to turn on push to talk.
This means: if invited to a text channel they can subsequently join voice channels and speak like normal if @ everyone permissions allow it. If invited to a voice channel, they're forced into p2t no matter what.
It would make for a better user experience if invites to a voice channel gave the same rule prompt as when they're invited to a text channel, and they could then get @ everyone permissions and speak like normal instead of them having to use p2t or have someone give them a role.
Thank you
