Extremely Minor problems with the new header font
So the new header font, visible on server names and username profiles, has some issues. These are fairly minor, but act as mild irritations once noticed, every time the offending characters are visible.
The lowercase and uppercase font appear to be different, and have entirely separate problems. For the lowercase letters, the “t” is the only letter with a slant in it. None of the other letters do. This seems minor until you look at it on a small screen, such as mobile, where if you look at the font from any sort of recommended distance, instead of seeing a slant what you end up seeing is one side of the top of the t being a pixel or 2 higher than the other side. This is irritating, especially when no other letter does this, and makes the letter stand out awkwardly.
Also some mild problems with the lower case a, as it seems to just look off, especially when next to more “traditional” lettering in the rest of the font, like it is from an entirely different font style. This may be a personal peeve, but we’ll see how it goes over time.
Now, the uppercase font being different, is generally a lot better. On mobile, this may be a bug, but the top of the E, F and T have small “bumps”, where you would assume the letter would stop. This is also infuriating, only lessened by the fact that you don’t often see it. I’ve never seen letters do this, so I have to assume it is an extremely weird bug, or intentional, and I’m not sure which I want to believe.
And that’s it. Multiple paragraphs describing minor UI problems. The rest of the UI changes in this batch are mostly positive, but the font stands out right now as an eyesore. Please alter, or fix bugs when necessary.
