Username Update

I've been using discord since around the time it was created. I have had two or three different username and tags throughout the years, and throughout the years, I have never had an issue with someone not finding my account, because I'm not stupid. and neither are most people. I understand you did a 'survey' to see if this update would be a good thing, but I never received it, and neither did anyone I know. None of my usernames were available despite being one of the first to get the update, and I am livid over this fact. Now my discord no longer matches the rest of my social media, and one of the nitro perks WHICH I PAY FOR is useless. I know I'm not the only one complaining about this, and I ask that you listen to your users about this. Send out another survey. To everyone. I promise you will get a different answer when you listen.

    THANK YOU! i'm gonna try to share this around so it gets more votes. and i would encourage others seeing this to leave comments in support! this is one of the most infuriating updates discord has rolled out, and none of us are here for it

    I agree completely, the username removes all originality. The update was supposed to make it easier to find your friends, but now I have to describe all the weird modifications I have had to implement into my previously simple username. 

    I loved the tags, unique, easy to share and provided a completely valid and useful use for nitro. I was greatly considering purchasing nitro to get a nice custom tag on my name but now I'm stuck with the new monstrosity of a name I have no matter what. I genuinely struggle to understand the motive behind this.
