Mobile auto disconnecting a personal call after 3min

I am in a LDR, so my boyfriend and I do sleep calls every night. We do this through discord, and I've read that MANY others do this too. It used to be if one of us disconnected (on our phones), the other would be able to stay in the call until they either 1. also disconnected/their discord crashed, or 2. until the other woke up. Now, since around April 28th, 2023, this isn't possible. I'm a light sleeper and a really emotional person, and when his discord crashes in the middle of the night, I normally wake up to the noise. And it's so saddening to see that our call hadn't lasted for how long they used to (12, 15, 18 hours). I get super upset about it whenever it happens, and on top of that I rarely ever get the notification of him calling me when he finally wakes up. Another thing that upsets me. I'm finally making a POST about this because it happened yet again and this time it wasn't even an hour. We went to bed, and ~30m later his discord crashes. 3 minutes later, I'm disconnected. It was SO nice waking up to him still being there in the call. It was SO nice seeing our calls go for so long. But now we'll never have those long calls unless this gets reverted. But it's been two months since I've noticed the change and I'm sure many complaints have been made, and with everything else discord has done lately I highly doubt they give a flying fuck about those of us in LDR. I'm fed up with it at this point and more angry at discord than I am sad. It's just, very saddening, and very frustrating to wake up and see that he isn't there, and neither is the call. What we would like is for the change to be reverted completely, or an option to disable the 3 minute auto disconnect. TL;DR: Discord started forcing the timeout on mobile calls, and it needs to either be reverted, or there needs to be an option to disable it. At least for mobile.
