The legal name requirement on the Discord Partner application is transphobic. Please change this!
The Discord Partner Application requires applicants to use their legal name. This is transphobic as many transgender people, including myself, do not wish to use their legal name (deadname) anymore. It's an exceptionally difficult and costly process to officially change your legal name. Besides that, it's not necessary to require a legal name on the Partner Application.
My suggestion is to either completely remove that question (as a Discord username should be enough) or change the question to ‘’What is your preferred name?''. If this gets implemented, it would make Discord more inclusive.

its a legally binding contract, you cant use any form of alias on legal documents its a crime. You can just after (if you even get partnered) request they refer you as your perfered name.

A Discord Partner Application isn't a legally binding contract. It's purely to get your server into the Discord Partner Programme (if accepted).

its by definition a contact.

There's probably a legal reason why they require that. It's not Discord being transphobic.
If you need more evidence:
- They let you enter your preferred name on many other occasions
- They celebrate pride month almost every year
- They were raising funds for lgbt organizations multiple times (link1) (link2)
- They provide trans benefits for employees
and so on.

How would there be a legal reason to require a legal name to be put in for some random server partner program? It's not like it's a job application or something like that.
