Display previews of PDF and HTML files
Display previews of PDF and HTML files sent. For example, if I send a PDF file with black text, a white background and images, all this will be displayed in the preview, which will look as if the text had actually been sent, This way, we can see in advance what it contains, and it can be handy for making announcements on our server by sending PDFs with text in the color we want to make it look nicer, so there's no limit, and the same with HTML files, so we don't have to download them, we could interact directly on Discord with a preview just like with a PDF, and if we click on the links in a PDF or HTML file that are in that file, it takes us to the link, if there's a button in the HTML file and we even click on the preview, it works, if, for example, you've sent an HTML file that allows you to draw, you can draw directly on Discord with it. You can even open the PDF and HTML files on a web page, and the same goes for the HTML file, so you can access the HTML file without downloading it, as if it were a real website but linked to Discord.

What you're asking for is the ability to render html files and execute javascript they contain. That would be extremely dangerous, and would allow anyone to steal your account (+ more) by just sending you an html file.

You are correct that rendering HTML files and executing JavaScript without proper security measures could be extremely dangerous. It could expose users to various security vulnerabilities, including the risk of cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks, which could lead to unauthorized access and potential account compromises.

Discord does not natively support displaying previews of PDF and HTML files in chat. However, there are third-party apps and plugins that can enable this functionality.
One such plugin is File Viewer, which is available for the BetterDiscord platform. This plugin allows you to view files like PDF, DOC, XLSX, and HTML directly in Discord. Once installed, you can simply drag and drop the file into the chat window, and the plugin will display a preview of the file.
Another option is to use a third-party file hosting service, such as Google Drive or Dropbox, to share the PDF or HTML file. You can then share the link to the file in Discord, and users can click on the link to view the file in their web browser.
It is important to note that sharing files, especially sensitive or confidential files, should be done with caution. Make sure that you trust the recipient and that the file does not contain any sensitive information that could be compromised. KDealer

As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, Discord did not natively support displaying previews of PDF and HTML files. Discord primarily focuses on supporting previews for image, video, and audio file types.
However, Discord is continually updating its features and adding new functionalities. To see if this feature has been added or if there are any third-party bots or integrations that can help with displaying previews of PDF and HTML files, I recommend checking the official Discord documentation, community forums, or Discord's official blog for the most up-to-date information.
Here's a general idea of how you can check for new features and updates on Discord:
Visit the official Discord website: Go to https://discord.com/ and log in to your account.
Check the Discord Blog: Discord often publishes updates and announcements on their blog, which can be found at https://blog.discord.com/. Look for any recent announcements regarding file preview features.
Explore Discord's Help Center: Visit the Discord Help Center at https://support.discord.com/ to search for articles related to file previews or new features. They may have information on any recent updates.
Join the Discord Community: Discord has a vibrant community of users and developers who often discuss new features and provide information about third-party bots and integrations. You can join the official Discord community at https://discord.gg/discord-developers or search for Discord-related communities on platforms like Reddit.
Use Third-Party Bots or Integrations: If Discord still doesn't natively support PDF and HTML file previews, you can explore third-party bots or integrations that might provide this functionality. Be cautious when adding third-party bots to your server, and ensure they are from reputable sources.
Keep in mind that Discord's features and capabilities may have evolved since my last knowledge update, so it's always a good idea to stay informed about the latest updates and features by checking official sources and community discussions. Myfedloan login

The native functionality of Discord does not include the ability to display previews of PDF and HTML files in conversation. Plugins and third-party applications, nevertheless, can facilitate this functionality.
File Viewer is one such plugin that is accessible via the BetterDiscord platform. This plugin enables direct viewing of PDF, DOC, XLSX, and HTML files within Discord. Once the plugin is installed, a preview of the file will be displayed in the conversation window when the file is dragged and dropped into the window.
An alternative course of action is to share the PDF or HTML file via a third-party file hosting service, such as Dropbox or Google Drive. Users will be able to access the file in their web browsers by clicking the link you provide in Discord.
It is imperative to emphasize that exercising caution is necessary when sharing files, particularly those that are sensitive or confidential. Ensure that the file does not contain any potentially compromised sensitive information and that you have faith in the recipient. KDealer Login0 -
Your suggestion is to enable interactive previews of PDF and HTML files on Discord, allowing users to interact directly with links, buttons, and content without downloading them. With a built-in PDF converter, this would further enhance functionality for announcements, navigation, and interactive elements.
