There absolutely HAS to be a timer reset when someone places down the boost pad, just like there is with goal swap and movement powerups. It is too broken to allow last second  placement.

    Totally agree! Implementing a timer reset for the boost pad placement, similar to what's done with goal swap and movement power-ups, is essential. Allowing last-second placements without any penalty is way too overpowering and disrupts the balance of the game.
