Whisper Feature

What if you were in a lounge with many people, some of them were playing a game that required attention and silence for brief moments at a time, meanwhile you want to talk to one or two other people not playing the game. You would have to switch lounges to not risk interrupting the others right?  A whisper feature could allow people with permission to select individuals from a lounge and enter a mode where they could converse without interrupting the lounge as a whole.
