How do Discord and those paying for Nitro justify the price?
It's $10/month for access to the Nitro features anyone actually cares about. Many of the top streaming services charge the same or less per month, so obviously lots of people feel that being able to use some animated GIFs is roughly equivalent in value to having access via internet to thousands of mostly 4K movies and TV - else Discord would lower the price. Ultimately this - so many paying the ridiculous price -is to blame for the high price.
That said, Discord requiring a paid subscription to view anything at higher than SD resolution in 2023 is dumbfounding. Name another popular app or site that uses video that doesn't provide it in HD for free if it's available. I'm not a heavy user of Discord, but I don't recall ever coming across a video and wishing the resolution was higher. Nitro gives a higher file attachment size - I've never considered Discord as an option when needing to send someone a file - of any size.
Maybe there's key feature I don't know of, or a feature that, as a casual user, I don't realize is super useful/awesome. Those who subscribe: what makes it worth the cost for you?

So i can support my friends server (thry use emojis alot), the file size is nice if I'm not wrong normal is only 5mb I've sent many files larger than that, $10 is pricey and barely worth it to be honest
Especially when you don't see the money going back into the company probably just in the greedy ceos pocket.
