One of the things why I “hate” using Discord (Debian package version), is that it takes too long to open. And for the most users time of 1.1–1.2 s would be acceptable, but things quickly change when Telegram (native binary) window opens in under 0.4–0.5 s! About 2.5 times faster! This is why I think Discord opens ridiculously slow.
I also measured Element app that is built on Electron, which means it's not a native app. The result is about 0.8–0.9 s. It's 1.9 times slower than Telegram. Yeah, also kinda slow.
Now the question is: can Discord open quicker or Electron could never be quick enough (compared to native apps) and will always remain slow (Discord is also built on Electron).
