Better auto-complete suggestions
I have long been annoyed with how Discord's auto-completion for tagging, emotes, and channels works. When I start typing a role name, for instance, Discord displays a list of users and roles whose names contain the characters I typed in the correct order. The order of these suggestions seems to be random, as far as I can tell.
I think that the average user experience would be much, much better if Discord's auto-completion prioritized exact substring matches over matches that contain the characters of the search string in the correct order, but not contiguously, and prefix matches over substring matches. As others have suggested, it would also be nice if results within each of these categories were sorted by usage.
For example, my server has a role called “Eir's Life Bringers”. Only one other role in the server begins with the string “Eir”. But if I type “@eir” into chat to try to ping this role, this is what I see.

The desired role doesn't even show up in the list of suggestions; instead I get a lot of less-exact matches. If prefix matches were prioritized in the list of suggestions, the role I was looking for would show up prominently. Incidentally, I notice that searching for the role in the server role settings does do prefix matching and lets me quickly find the desired role.
