Regional Pricing (10$ Might not be the same for everyone)
I'm a dedicated Discord user from South Africa, and I want to bring attention to a critical issue affecting users in regions like mine – the absence of regional pricing.
In countries where $10 holds a significantly different value, the flat pricing structure creates a substantial financial barrier for many users. To put it into perspective, $10 in the United States might be considered spending money, but in South Africa, it could mean the difference between meeting basic needs and having discretionary income.
Living in South Africa, this amount represents a more significant commitment due to economic differences. Discord's mission to connect users globally is commendable, but the current pricing model hinders its accessibility for a significant user base.
Implementing regional pricing would not only acknowledge the economic diversity but also make Discord a more inclusive platform for users worldwide. I understand the challenges involved in such adjustments, but I urge Discord to consider the real impact on its global community.
Addressing this concern would not only align with Discord's values but also strengthen its commitment to providing an accessible platform for all.
