App commands on read only channels

Today when you set a channel to be read-only it also disables the right click > Apps on users and messages. It should be possible to use app commands even on read only channels. Why are buttons allowed on read-only channels and app commands not? 

Buttons are very big for my usage and I would love if I could have the app commands available.
