Discord mobile is actually ruined

I can't understand what the thought process behind messing up the entire mobile UI was. Nobody asked for it. I've been using discord since 2018 and loved it. While I may not have liked every update since then, it never ruined the app for me or turned me away from using it. This is the last straw though. Its so hard to navigate ANYTHING and every single setting and button that we've used for years is changed and/or hidden now. It looks like you're trying to copy Facebook Messenger which is, in my opinion, one of the worst messaging apps out there. Was the UI perfect before? Well nothing is, everyone has their own preferences, but I can guarantee it was better than whatever the hell it is now. 

Even when things were changed to help accommodate schools and groups like that during lockdown, discord worked for that because it focused so much on communities. But now the mobile app sucks for these communities and feels too much like group chats and DMs are the only real thing. Having separate pages for servers and DMs is completely unnecessary. 

We liked discord because it was unique and does a lot of things very well that other applications can't do at all. This trend of every app trying to copy another and share so many similarities to compete is just killing everything. I used to prefer using discord to communicate to people over texting. I used discord to talk to my sister way more than just using her phone number because I liked discords layout and what I could do with it more than my phone's default messaging app, but I'm going back now.

The whole concept of having statuses on your profile is pointless on mobile too. you have to actively look for that information and most people aren't seeking it out. having it easily accessible was a major thing that helped start conversations or talk about new games, and seeing a server member or friend playing a game you like was a great way to get us online and in calls to play with them. Now that stuff is hidden and you have to do too much to go looking for it that it's not worth it and the statuses do nothing on mobile anymore.

I loved what I could do with Nitro and how much I could customize things and share larger files so I've kept paying for it. But now I'm also cancelling my Nitro subscription until the UI is changed back and I'm encouraging everyone I know to do the same. I haven't talked to a single person in any of my servers or DMs that is actually happy with this update. We're all complaining to each other about how much we hate it.
