New UI Breaks Pinned Posts
There are some things about the new UI that are pretty nice. I like that there's a tab for media that shows who posted what images in the channel, but one thing that needs to be fixed is the way that pins are displayed on mobile.
You can only see the first sentence of a pin now in the new UI for the mobile app. This completely defeats the purpose of pinned posts, and absolutely ruins the setup of SO many servers. We use pinned posts to make important information quickly available for our members, and now that's not possible - and our current setup is ruined for our mobile users. It doesn't even display the images anymore, it just has the text of ‘image.png’.
PLEASE fix this so that the full post is displayed!

This breaks basically every video game-based discord, where “CHECK THE PINS” is a mantra if not a custom react. Look at this and tell me how it's, like…. functional? At all?
This is how it's *supposed* to look, by the way:
see how I can … see.. the images…. I'm sorry, I don't know how to explain that “images” convey “information” which might be “useful”, this is braindead stuff.2 -
You do realize that Discord is using you as their “play tester” right? They don't have testers themselves lol

The pins also show in the order they were originally posted, not the order they were pinned now. We re-pin channel guidelines or other useful info to make sure they're always at the top and easy to see but now they're all hidden down in the list

Valid concern, adding my voice as this is limiting the utility of pins.

Also voting for this. Pins are useless when all they show is “image” and a generic image icon. That’s not helpful. Pins are to make things quickly accessible and now they are fairly useless because if you don’t label an image post with text, you have to click on every single pinned message to find the correct one you want.
How is this helpful?0 -
I… Guess this was fixed in the latest version of the ios client? As of 219.1 I can now see links and media rendered in the pins tab on iOS mobile.

Yes I noticed that two days ago. Finally!
