Make the UI more customizable

To be honest, the new Discord UI on mobile works well for me. It has some issues, but I appreciate all the new features it introduces, and the layout works fine for me. However, it’s clear that the majority of people don’t like it, and I think Discord should listen. 

Everyone has their preferences, so why trap people in either box? I think being able to customize the UI to make it more like either one, will allow everyone to have the best Discord experience. 

Also, what's not acceptable is the number of bugs/issues people have reported, I doubt it was tested at all. It shouldn't be this unpolished.

    100% agree that there should be the option that people prefer, except having that option would mean the app would run slower. Having extra logic to check what to run depending on if the user has the old or new UI is gonna slow Discord down.

     

    I wouldn't really care about speed if it already isn't an issue (at least for me), and I'd be lying if I said that I wouldn't still much prefer there being an option for both people, rather than just the old UI. However Discord really needs to optimize their app, since Aliucord (mod I use) is much faster.

    That's a good point. Discord's app optimization is a separate issue tho as Discord (even with the old UI) is already slow and glitchy.
