"Hang Status" experimental feature

There should definitely be a way to opt out of this feature. I don't want all of my discord friends to know that I'm in a private server's voice channel. A server that some friends don't even have access to. There's no reason people should know that I'm in a voice channel if they don't have access to the server. It's an invasion of privacy.

    Unnecessary, and it overrides my game status.  Also kept applying a status when I joined a voice channel.  You can set a blank character and no emoji to your default status, but this also overrides your game status.

    We already have a status section?  What do we need 2 for?  This isn't Instagram.

    Totally asinine new “feature”. The fact there isn't a way to opt out of it is crazy, what a terrible developmental practice! If this feature was off by default, and you could choose to engage with it if you wanted to would make it so much less problematic. The fact this broadcasts globally to users who don't have access to the channel that triggered the status is another huge facepalm but even just setting the default behavior of this new “feature” to  nothing would sidestep the problem for 99% of us I should think? The fact it automatically sets the status and you have to manually clear it every time you join a voice channel is such a waste of all of our time.

    This new feature is incredibly nonsensical. The lack of an opt-out option is simply absurd; it's astonishing that such a flawed approach made it into development. phelieuquangdat.com

    I already disagree a little with the comment, I think there should be an option to activate and deactivate the function
