[Feature Request] Enable Markdown's Masked Links on User Profile

Hello,

In this help article, Discord explains how to use Markdown in chats. These Markdown features are also available on User Profile, except for the Masked Links feature.

So, I am suggesting to add support for Masked Links on User Profile, please. This will help to have cleaner links on profile, instead of just copying and pasting long, messy URLs (like URLs of YouTube channels, Google Maps locations, Amazon products, Wikipedia entries, Reddit threads, TikTok posts, WhatsApp's link-to-chat, Zoom link-to-meet, BBC/CNN/NYT links, etc).

    to be honest masked links are already a terrible idea and they should be removed, not improved. discord is already full of trolls, scammers and anything else, masked links just made such thing worse. putting it everywhere will just made discord even worse, less solid and less secure.

    Hello.

    Trolls, scammers ans such were, are, and will be on the Internet for ever. Discord is part of the Internet, so expect to have them in our platform too. You won't solve this by avoiding masked links. That's very naïf.

    Do you want Discord to fight against them? Ask them to have a much bigger, more effective staff. That's the right way.
