Please add an option to NOT automatically select/focus the chatbox when switching between channels and/or DMs

As a Discord user, I would like the option to NOT automatically open the touch keyboard when navigating between channels and/or DMs on a tablet device, so that I can see more chat history before deciding what I want to type.

My understanding is that the keyboard appears on tablet devices when there is no physical keyboard and a text input becomes focused or selected, which is expected behavior. But on a tablet the touch keyboard takes up significant space so having the option to NOT automatically focus the chat text input box in Discord would be very helpful!
