My reverse numbered list gets reordered wrong
I typed out a list counting down from 10 like
10.
9.
8.
7…
but then when I sent the message, discord automatically changed my numbers to
10.
11.
12.
13…!
When I click to edit the message, the correct numbers are back. The text I typed is saved, but discord is displaying the wrong numbers!
I imagine this is a feature intended to correct lists accidentally typed like “1. 2. 3. 5…” to the “1. 2. 3. 4…” that they were probably supposed to be, which is cool, (though I could imagine it causing some confusion in the case that step 4 was actually omitted, rather than just incorrectly numbered as 5) but we definitely shouldn't be correcting “10. 9. 8. 7…” to “10. 11. 12. 13…”
If we want to keep this feature at all, it definitely needs to account for reverse ordered lists.
Here is a screenshot of my message, and the original version of the message from edit mode:
My version information copied from the bottom of the settings menu tabs is:
stable 284976 (4095b80) Host 1.0.9041 x86 (46355) Windows 11 64-bit (10.0.22631)

Not a permanent solution but if you do it like this it works pretty good, for now. the “## my list:” part isnt necessary, just bold all the numbers
Seriously tho why is discord changing the order of lists. this is pretty silly. i get that its supposed to help fix misnumbered lists but id rather just be in control and take responsibility for typo's. after all you an edit anything youve sent or delete it if its too embarrassing.0
