The new "Swipe Status" thing to the in voice calls makes tuning into screenshares tedious

In voice calls, I usually hover over the name of someone screensharing (indicated by the red “LIVE” icon) which makes a window popup on the right. This allows me to just move my mouse to the right, where I can watch their screenshare by clicking “Watch Stream”.

However, because of the placement of the new “Swipe Status” thing and the fact that just hovering over it closes the screenshare popup, this makes it extremely annoying to tune into screenshares. I believe this can be remedied by just making the “Swipe Status” icon a ‘click to interact’ kind of thing rather than just mousing over it.
