Account Scammed + Hacked
So about a month ago, I stupidly fell for a scam where someone impersonated being a Discord staff member and basically tricked me to change my account credentials to his email and to pay money to get my account back and 20 days later… I got my entire money back but Discord has failed me.
While they failed to get my account back, some of my friends who got scammed the same way got their accounts back quickly and with no issue so why do I get the rough end of the stick?
I've had that account since 2016 and now I've lost access to my personal servers and contact with friends going back to 2006 all because they just are unable to help me.

I might know how to help you out, I just got my account back after my account was taken 2 weeks ago.

Why should I believe you?

because I wouldn't be making this situation up, I fell through a similar situation you are in, and I want to try and help you get it back.

Okay, do you have an email the hackers sent you about the “email” they provided you to change it to?
0 -
something like this?
0 -
Didn't get something like that
0 -
really? did they send you any email at all during the incident?
0 -
nope
0 -
🤔
0 -
did Discord at all sent you a verification code about the email change in your mail?
0 -
… yeah.
0 -
that's weird.. by any chance do you have a screenshot of the dms about them sending you their “email”?
0 -
nope lost it
0 -
dang
0 -
do you have their “email” saved or provided in one of your tickets in case for evidence?
0 -
nope
0 -
dang! hmm…
0 -
on one of the tickets you sent out, did you select “I was tricked by someone impersonating support or staff” on your recent one?
0 -
almost all of them have that
0 -
I see. do you have your old account added as a friend on your alt?
0 -
i did but it got blocked on my alt's end
0 -
do you have the username and the nickname of it?
(if it didn't get changed)0 -
Nickname: Ky
Username: .kaywhy0 -
okay, good. Try to copy and paste this as a reply to your recent ticket.
Hello Again.I double-checked things and the account's original email wasn't reverted. They changed the email from the one they made me change the day it was hacked. I still have some evidence to prove I own the account if you would like to see them.
Thank You.

and we shall wait and see what happens.0 -
apologies, had to double-check to be specific 😅

i don't get it since the email tied to my hacked account was the hacker's email so what good would that reply do?
0 -
basically, since you reported the issue about the email change, you would “update” them that they didn't resolve it, plus the hacker would constantly change the email without you knowing. Plus, having the original username on there might help speed things up a bit.
I did that the day when I got it back with the email those hackers sent me.0 -
it may not make any sense, but it's how I got it back a few hours later after making a response to their “resolve” response.

gotcha ill try
