A Messaging App

I would like a version of discord that is a messaging app rather than an application platform and scheduling tool in an encapsulated web browser.

I think it would be nice to have a version that was lightweight and useful and usable on lower-spec systems that do not want to use a bloated chromium-driven web app overutilizing limited resources, and the improvements for the end user experience for those who do not want to play Rocket League, but instead want to message their friends.
